Why Jesus Went to the Cross

Jesus didn't go to the cross because He was powerless to stop it.

He went willingly.

Jesus said, “No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord.” — John 10:18

The cross was the greatest expression of love—Jesus taking our place so that we could be forgiven, reconciled to God, and given new hope.

One Truth to Remember

The cross wasn't something that happened to Jesus. It was a sacrifice He chose—for us.

Short Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for choosing the cross for us. Help me never take Your sacrifice for granted, and let my life reflect the love and grace You have shown me. Amen.
