Faithful Reflections: I Was Blind, But Now I See

From Darkness to Light

Story

There was a time when I couldn’t see the truth—about God, about myself, about life’s purpose. I walked through the days thinking I understood, but I was missing the deeper meaning. Then, like the blind man in John 9, Jesus opened my eyes. It didn’t happen all at once, but step by step, light began to flood the places that had been dark.

John 9:25 says:
"One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!"

When Jesus opens our eyes, we begin to see everything—our struggles, our blessings, and our future—through the lens of His love.

Insight

Spiritual blindness can come from pride, pain, or simply not knowing the truth. But God specializes in restoring vision—not just physical sight, but spiritual clarity. Seeing with God’s eyes changes how we view ourselves, others, and the world.

2 Corinthians 4:6 reminds us:
"For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ."

Once we see the truth, we can never be the same again.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for opening my eyes to Your truth. Help me to see life through the light of Your Word, to notice the blessings I once overlooked, and to walk with clarity and purpose. Keep my vision fixed on You, now and always. Amen.
