Faithful Reflections: Thanksgiving

Story

There was a time when I focused more on what I lacked than on what I had. But one day, I paused and looked around—at the love of family, the kindness of a friend, the breath in my lungs. I realized that blessings aren’t just the big miracles; they are found in everyday moments.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 reminds us:
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."

Gratitude shifts our focus from what’s missing to God’s abundant goodness in our lives.

Insight

Every day holds reasons to give thanks—answered prayers, unexpected kindness, and even challenges that grow our faith. Thanksgiving isn’t just for the good days; it’s a way of life, trusting that God is always working for our good.

Psalm 107:1 declares:
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever."

When we express gratitude, we recognize God’s hand in all things, strengthening our faith and filling our hearts with joy.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your endless blessings, both seen and unseen. Help me to have a heart of gratitude in all circumstances. May I never take Your goodness for granted, but always find joy in Your faithfulness. Amen.

Daily Verse

"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits."
—Psalm 103:2
