Faithful Reflections: Grace in Every Step

Story
When I was younger, I struggled to accept help. I believed in doing everything myself—no shortcuts, no handouts. One winter, my car broke down in the middle of nowhere. A stranger stopped, offering not only a ride but also kind words and warmth. At first, I hesitated, my pride battling my desperation. But as I accepted his help, I realized something profound: grace often comes in unexpected ways.

That small act of kindness changed my outlook. I began to see grace not as something earned but as a gift, freely given, waiting to be received.

Insight
God’s grace is like that—freely offered, even when we feel unworthy. It is a gift that doesn’t depend on our merit but on His boundless love. Ephesians 2:8 reminds us:
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."

Are there areas in your life where you resist grace? What blessings might you receive if you allowed God’s love to flow freely?

Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your unending grace. Teach me to embrace the gifts You give, even when I feel undeserving. Help me show grace to others as You have shown it to me, and let my life reflect Your mercy and love. Amen.

Daily Verse
"But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me."
—2 Corinthians 12:9
