Faithful Reflections: Overcoming Anxiety

Story

There was a time when anxiety controlled my thoughts. I worried about things beyond my control, replayed past mistakes, and feared an uncertain future. No matter how much I tried to calm myself, the anxious thoughts kept creeping in. But one day, I came across Philippians 4:6-7:

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

I realized that peace wasn’t something I had to create—it was something God freely gives when I surrender my worries to Him.

Insight

Anxiety can feel overwhelming, but God invites us to cast our burdens on Him. He doesn’t want us to carry our worries alone. Instead, He calls us to trust Him, knowing that He is in control.

1 Peter 5:7 reminds us:
"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you."

When we bring our fears to God, He replaces them with His perfect peace.

Prayer

Lord, I give You my worries, fears, and anxieties. Fill my heart with Your peace and remind me that I am never alone. Help me to trust You fully, knowing that You are always in control. Amen.

Daily Verse

"When anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought me joy."
—Psalm 94:19

Please help us spread the word to those who might appreciate this.
