Faithful Reflections: Accepting Change
Trusting God in Every New Season
Story
I used to resist change, clinging to what was familiar and safe. But life has a way of moving forward, whether we’re ready or not. Some changes brought joy, others brought loss, and some left me unsure of what was ahead. Over time, I learned that while change is inevitable, God’s presence is constant.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says:
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."
Every new season—whether welcomed or unexpected—comes with opportunities for growth and a deeper trust in Him.
Insight
Change often stretches us beyond our comfort zones. It can feel unsettling, but it’s also where God shapes us, redirects us, and draws us closer. Accepting change isn’t about pretending it’s easy—it’s about believing God is in control of what’s leaving and what’s coming.
Isaiah 43:19 reminds us:
"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?"
When we release our grip on the old, we can fully receive the new God has prepared.
Prayer
Lord, help me to accept the changes in my life with faith instead of fear. Remind me that You go before me in every new season. Give me the courage to let go of what’s past and the openness to embrace what’s ahead. Amen.
Daily Verse
