Faithful Reflections: Sunday

Faithful Reflections: Easter Sunday – He Is Risen!

Story

Early one Easter morning, I sat quietly reflecting on the cross—but my heart kept returning to the empty tomb. I imagined the moment the stone was rolled away, the silence shattered by victory, and the sorrow of Friday swallowed by the joy of Sunday. Jesus didn’t just rise—He overcame.

Matthew 28:6 declares:
"He is not here; He has risen, just as He said!"

Easter Sunday is more than a celebration—it’s the foundation of our hope.

Insight

The resurrection of Jesus changes everything. It means sin is forgiven, death is defeated, and new life is available to all who believe. Easter isn’t just about what was—it’s about what is. Because He lives, we can face today, tomorrow, and eternity with confidence and joy.

1 Peter 1:3 reminds us:
"In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."

Easter is the loudest declaration of God’s love and power.

Prayer

Risen Lord, thank You for the cross—and thank You for the empty tomb. Because You live, I have hope. Fill my heart with resurrection joy and help me walk in the new life You’ve made possible. Let my words and actions reflect the victory of this day. Amen.
